1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, and event-related data (event details, guest lists, dish information, and RSVP responses).

If you use Dish With Me Weekly, we also collect your household preferences: dietary pattern, food allergies, household size (including the number and age ranges of children), cooking preferences, meal plans, snack and grocery selections, and saved brand preferences. We treat allergy and household-composition information as sensitive and use it only to plan meals and build grocery lists for your household.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Dish With Me service
• Send event invitations, reminders, and notifications via SMS and email
• Authenticate your identity through magic links and verification codes
• Improve and personalize your experience

3. Information Sharing

We share your information only as necessary to provide the service:

• With event hosts and co-attendees (your name and RSVP status)
• With members of your Weekly household (your shared meal plan, snacks, and grocery selections)
• With service providers (Twilio for SMS, Amazon SES for email, Supabase for data storage, Vercel for hosting)
• With OpenAI, to generate meal-prep plans: we send the recipes and quantities in your plan. We do not send your name, email, or contact information.
• With Instacart, to build your shopping list: we send the item names, quantities, and brand or dietary filters from your plan. Instacart's own privacy policy governs what happens after you open a shopping list there.
• When required by law

Dish With Me participates in the Instacart affiliate program and may earn a commission on orders placed through shopping lists created in the app. Affiliate attribution is handled by Instacart in the links they generate — we do not place tracking cookies on your device for this purpose.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures including encrypted connections, secure authentication, and row-level security policies on all database tables. Your data is stored securely with Supabase.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
